Infoware Services Footy Tipping Competition Rules

 

  1. Taking part in this competition signifies acceptance of the following conditions.
  2. The competition will be run under the laws of Queensland.
  3. Competition is open to all employees, clients and friends of Infoware Services.
  4. All tipping and results will be entered/published via our web site accessed from www.infowareservices.com.au.  All other correspondence will be via e-mail to footy@infowareservices.com.au.  Self registration is available via the login page.
  5. Individual tipsters will access their tips via a login form identifying the tipster and using their selected password.  The tipster is responsible for confirming their tips have been updated in the system by checking the “Curr Tip” column on the tips entry page.
  6. Infoware Services accepts no liability arising from

·         the misuse of a tipster’s login

·         the unavailability of the web site to enter tips

·         the inability of a tipster to access the web site

  1. Entry fee for the competition is $20 AUD payable before round 1 commences.  Failure to pay the entry fee by the due date may void eligibility for prizes.  Players may still join the competition without paying the entry fee, but will not be eligible for prizes.
  2. Competition will be limited to the first 100 paying tipsters to register and pay the entry fee.  There is no limit on non-paying tipsters.
  3. Participants may enter as many paid entries as desired but each entry will be treated as a separate tipster requiring a separate login.  We will restrict unpaid entries to one per participant.
  4. Competition is for the regular season (excluding finals series) of the National Rugby League (NRL) and prizes will be awarded to paying tipsters at the end of the season.
  5. Late entrants to the competition will be given points equal to the average of all other tipsters up to the previous round if a non-paying tipster.  If they still wish to be eligible for prizes, they will be given the equal lowest points up to the previous round.
  6. Prizes will be awarded as follows:

1st       - 75% of pool

2nd      - 20% of pool

3rd      - 5% of pool

  1. There will be a weekly prize of $10 AUD for the tipster who scores the most points for the round.  If there is more than one tipster with the most points for the round, the weekly prize will jackpot to the following round.  Any jackpot at the end of the season will be included in the final pool.  Any weekly prizes won will be paid in total at the end of the season.
  2. If the total pool is less than $2000 AUD, Infoware Services will contribute up to an extra $400 AUD to the pool.  The total prize pool will not exceed $2000 AUD.
  3. Points will be awarded for the following:
    • Tipping the winner – 1 point
    • Correctly tipping a draw – 15 points
    • Correctly tipping all matches for a round – 1 bonus point.
  4. In the event of a tie, the appropriate place prizes will be combined and distributed evenly between the tied tipsters.
  5. Entry of tips will close at 5.00pm AEST on the Friday of the current round or the start of the first game of the round if sooner.
  6. By default, tipsters will be assumed to tip all the away teams for the round unless otherwise tipped.
  7. After the round has closed, all tipsters’ tips for the round will be available to be viewed online along with their login ID.
  8. The tipping administrator’s decision is final.  Disputed tips will not be investigated unless there is documentary evidence that the tips are different to what was confirmed as entered in the system (eg printed or saved web page showing the tips updated in the “Curr Tip” column)
  9. Any personal information collected will only be used for the purpose of statistical analysis and will not be disclosed to other tipsters.
